Rhonda Carter Adams

Rhonda (she/her/hers) began her career path in diverse strategies as the Supplier Diversity Manager for Caterpillar, Inc. in 2005. Since that time, she has served in numerous corporate roles where she has led a variety of initiatives supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts.
Her corporate experience includes leadership roles serving as a Small Business Liaison Officer where she developed corporate strategies that ensured compliance with government requirements, while maximizing the utilization of small and diverse owned businesses; building and implementing inaugural Workforce and Supplier Diversity programs; and providing oversight to company affinity groups such as Employee Resource Groups, Diversity Advisory Councils, and Inclusion and Diversity Champion programs.
Her non-profit experience includes leadership as the Executive Director for the St. Louis/Eastern Missouri area of the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council, an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council serving Central Illinois, Indiana, and Eastern Missouri.
Rhonda is an avid community volunteer. She serves on numerous boards and supports several other non-profit organizations and advocacy groups. She is also a proud member of the St. Louis Forum, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, Inc., The Links, Incorporated, and other social organizations that provide scholarship and services to youth, women, and communities in need.
Steve Parks
Director of Programs

Steve Parks (he/him/his) leads GEI’s youth engagement programs. He also facilitates and leads diversity and inclusion discussions with youth and adults. Prior to this position, Steve was the Director of Diversity for Ameren Corporation. Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T and his MBA from Fontbonne University.
Chris Ajao
Youth Programs Manager

Chris Ajao (he/him/his) works with the Director of Programs to support GEI’s youth engagement programs. His daily roles involve recruiting students for these programs and communicating with the schools and program partners. Chris has several years of experience in mentorship roles for university student programs focused on diversity and inclusion.
Christina Meneses, MSW, CDFT
Education and Training Manager

Christina Meneses, MSW (she/her/hers), is the Education and Training Manager, supporting adult and youth programs. Prior to this, she managed NCCJ’s Facilitrainer Certification Program, a train-the-trainer program for DEI educators. For more than a decade she also taught as an adjunct professor at the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. She began her career as an educator in the field of violence against women.
Jet McDonald
Marketing & Communications Contractor
Jet McDonald (they/them/their) is a St. Louis-based communications professional with a bachelor's degree in sociocultural anthropology and a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing. They provide support with GEI's social media, email communications, and grant writing.
